Hashtag fabrication

I'm a tweeter. I admit it.

I've never been a big fan of social media, but I actually really like Twitter. It's like sound bites for people who read. I like making statements and then going away and coming back later and finding out if people responded to my statements.

I also enjoy making hastags. The other day I came up with two that I think I'll be using quite often, even if no one else does.

Mega Millions

So what would you do if you won a mega million dollar jackpot?

Aside from pay off all my bills and take a nice long vacation, I'm not really sure what I would do. I think I'd like to set up some kind of foundation, maybe to fight hunger, another one to rescue animals...and I'd invest.

I wouldn't go on a crazy shopping spree, as much fun as it sounds, because I think buying everything in sight would get old fast. I'd miss going to garage sales and finding cool things for next to nothing. I wouldn't buy a fancy car, just one that runs well and pay a good mechanic to keep it in perfect shape. I wouldn't buy a lot of jewelry since I rarely wear it.

I would definitely travel first class, everywhere, and I would probably trade up to a house with an indoor pool.

What would you do with a truck load of money?

It's so exciting!

To have Twitter followers! I hope I can come up with interesting tweets. I like the idea of just typing a line or two about something and not having to agonize over paragraph after paragraph like a blog post.

I could get used to this bullet-style of communicating.

In the mean time, I'm closing in on the end of novella #3 - first draft. It's a drafty draft, but it's coming along. I can't wait to edit. The decision now is, do I edit the first three, then move on, or wait until I've finished one round for the whole series?

I'm battling a vicious head cold right now, so my decision making skills are suspect. The only thing that really seems like a good idea right now is a nap.

Hello world!

Pardon the lame post title. I needed something to kick off this blog. It's still under construction at the moment while I prepare for the debut of my novella series coming in 2013. [More about that later] In the mean time, I'm an author of contemporary romance, hoping to bring you stories that will draw you in and entertain you.

I'm currently in the process of working on my series, constructing my blog and website and learning how to tweet.
